I first made cake boxes for my exhibit “We Want Cake! Let’s Eat Cake!” which opened in November 2025 at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, and was a part of NYC Jewelry Week. The cakes were meant to serve as display boxes for the jewelry in the exhibit. Visitors were struck by the realistic and vibrantly decorated “cakes” and many asked to purchase them in order to store their own treasures or display as decorative art. Materials: acrylic, spackle, resin, artificial cherries, glass tiles, pigment, glitter, mica
