These are placemats first displayed as part of NYC Jewelry Week 2023: The Power of Jewelry. The exhibit was held in Brooklyn.

These are a series of placemats I created based on family stories, recollection and food. I also made a piece of jewelry to go with each story. The placemats were arranged as place settings around a table set for a Chinese New Year family meal; the jewelry pieces were in the accompanying sauce dish. I’ve included pictures of the set up of the exhibit.
